Calling all San Diego sailors: If you’ve got some free time Tuesday evening, TV network TNT is holding an open casting call for extras for its Navy-themed show “The Last Ship,” according to a Monday post on the Naval Base San Diego Facebook page. Navy Times’ intrepid reporter Mark D. Faram got an all-access pass on the latest littoral combat ship, USS Coronado, this week. The takeaway? It’s as fast as a cheetah in Air Jordans. Cmdr. Culinary Specialist 2nd Class (SW) Daunte Reed won the category for Best Maniacal Laugh at the first American Laughing Championships.
