The cake was made from 220 eggs, 47 cups of water, 40 pounds of flour, 40 pounds of sugar, 2 1/2 cups of non fat milk, 15 pounds of shortening, 1 pound, 4 ounces of baking powder, 1 cup, 4 tablespoons of salt, and 20 ounces of vanilla. The theme for the cake was “past & present” and displayed a miniature model of the USS Constitution and today’s Navy NWU’s.
