They say it takes a village to raise a child, but how about a Navy cruiser raising six?
Six sailors aboard cruiser Hué City have added a new member to the family, according to The Florida Times-Union. Four were born within two days of each other; the other two new additions followed shortly after.
Technology has allowed the five proud fathers and one grandfather to show off photos of their bundles of joy on deck almost immediately. One was even able to hear his son’s first cries over the telephone.

- Ralph Allen Seibel, son of Ensign Jarrett Seibel.
- Brayden Lovan, son of Yeoman 3rd Class Brice Lovan.
- Fabian Lou Goby, son of Culinary Specialty 1st Class Loudelson Goby
- Annaiah Grace Bradley, daughter of Electrician’s Mate 2nd Class Richard Bradley.
- Lilly, daughter of Lt. Donald Peltier.
- Allison Pearl, granddaughter of Senior Chief Fire Controlman (SW) Jason Franey.
Hué City left June 20 for a 9-month deployment to the 5th Fleet area of responsibility. That means these parents and grandparents won’t meet their little ones until March when the ship returns to its homeport in Mayport, Fla.
