It’s kind of a meta-moment courtesy of a video conference.
Rear Adm. Nora Tyson, commander of the George H.W. Bush Carrier Strike Group, received her second star in a ceremony with the namesake of the Navy’s newest carrier, former President George H.W. Bush. A former Navy pilot himself, Bush was beamed onto one of the carrier’s televisions to administer an oath.
Hey, if the president can sign bills into law from a remote location with a fancy autopen, this is legit, too.
Hopefully the cookies were real.

Bush was Air Force Reserve, not Navy and what is this idiot admiral doing appearing for a formal ceremony in a poopy suit? No gravitas, no dignity. Could not be bothered to put on a uniform?
Get a life Curtis.
First off Curtis,
9 JUN 1943 Bush was commissioned as an ensign in the U.S. NAVAL reserves. Also, rather than bashing Admiral Tyson let’s Give her a round of applause for what she has accomplished. She has no need to change her uniform for any reason not for you or anyone else. She is a great Admiral who will continue to do great things for the U.S Armed forces. Thank you Admiral Tyson!!
